Stormy Manly Ferry ride in The SMH.
Having seen a photo by Nick Moir on my Instagram feed early on Tuesday this week – of a wave crashing over the bow of the Manly Ferry – I thought it’d make a nice excursion for Adam Ferguson and I after we’d met up for lunch.
We ended up doing two laps on the ferry. The trip south, toward the city, was the more exciting of the legs – the direction of the swell seeing us plowing straight through the waves rather than at an oblique angle, as was the case travelling north.
This photo of the Price family, who had had travelled from Warriewood to ride the ferry, was published the following day in The Sydney Morning Herald as was another on The SMH website.
