10×8 Gallery Launch
Sydney can often seem a nuclear wasteland when it comes to serious photographic galleries. 10×8 Gallery, launching publicly in Surry Hills on Saturday the 13th April will lead the way in revitalising, in particular, the oft-neglected genre of reportage photography.
Along with the likes of Rennie Ellis, Steven Dupont, William Yang and Oculi friends, James Brickwood and Donna Bailey, I’ll be part of a group exhibition whose opening will coincide with the public launch. See the flyer here for more details and get along from 2-5pm on the 13th and have a drink with some of the artists.
Not only will 10×8 exhibit established and emerging photographers, it will also be a hub for photographic masterclass workshops. In May, in conjunction with the Reportage Festival, two workshops will be hosted by some of the world’s best. Firstly, street reportage and colour maestros, Alex and Rebecca Norris-Webb and secondly, co-founder of Noor Agency, Francesco Zizola.
