Newsweek’s #last print issue
In 1933, the first ever issue of Newsweek featured Hitler’s Nazies on the front page. Last week, after 80 years as the US’ largest news magazine after TIME Magazine, Newsweek published its final print edition with a black and white photograph of the former Newsweek building in New York City. It’s indeed a sad day for print journalism, but the issue – trivial as it might sound – contains some fantastic retrospective accounts of some of the big stories that broke over its time on the news stands. The Lewinsky affair and of course September 11 to name a few.
