Hurricane Sandy for TIME MAGAZINE
Last Sunday, I took myself to where the impending Hurricane Sandy was predicted to make landfall at Monmouth County, NJ. After photographing the oceanfront that afternoon and Monday morning, I was put on assignment by TIME Magazine, along with four other photographers – Benjamin Lowy, Michael Christopher Brown, Ed Kashi and Stephen Wilkes. Our task was to not only shoot for the magazine but to – using the TIME Magazine feed – post to the social networking site, Instagram. The Idea was to provide a minute by minute visual account of what was taking place up and down the eastern seaboard. To see the Instagram images, visit TIME Lightbox HERE.
The decision regarding Instagram made by TIME Director of Photography, Kira Pollack proved an overwhelming success and is discussed in an article in Forbes.
